The Journey of Flowers – Kenji Matsuyama

Of Portuguese and Japanese origins, Kenji Matsuyama Ribeiro started his dance training at the age of 16 with his parents, former ballet dancers, in Italy. After graduating the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, Netherlands, he joins the Ballet d’Europe in Marseille, France, under the guidance of Jean-Charles Gil for the season 2003-2004, he will then join the Compañía Nacional de Danza 2 of Nacho Duato in Madrid Spain from 2004 to 2007 where he performs a big range of Duato’s choreographies such as Remansos, Jardi Tancat, Duende, Arenal, Rassemblement,Coming together,Gnawa, Na floresta, L’Amoroso. He then joins the Ballet Carmen Roche for the following season till becoming a member of LaMov Comapañía de danza for the 2008-2009 season. He becomes a member of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal in July 2009.
